Debian + Palm で PodCast を聴きたいなと思っていたところなのだが、odeo には Odeo Command line sync for Linux, *BSD なんてものがあった。これを使えば普通にコマンドラインで podcast 取得ができるっぽい。中を見る限り、 url に username, password をパラメータ渡しして wget で取得する (ついでに m3u list を作る) だけのようだが、つまりは wget で普通に取れるわけで、それはそれで便利な気がする。2

Web Service に頼りたくない場合には standalone で動くツールもある。これは Debian sid で % aptitude search podcast して出てきたもの。sarge には無いようだ。subscriptions は $HOME/.podracer/subscriptions と言うテキストファイルに URL を列記するだけ。http, ftp 以外に BitTorrent もサポートしているのは偉い。ちなみに GUI ベースだと ipodder というのがあるようだ。Podracer is a podcast aggregator that gets the enclosures from your list of podcast subscriptions and stores them in the location you specify. It supports BitTorrent, HTTP, and FTP downloads, and runs best as a cron job to automatically retrieve podcasts throughout the day.
ともあれこの辺のコマンドを cron で定期実行して mp3 ファイルを溜めておき、必要なときに SDカードに移して Palm で聴くのが現実解かな。SDカードへの同期は適当にコマンドをでっち上げれば済みそうだ。
